"Autumn Leaves" is a colored pencil drawing of beautiful fall leaves using colored pencils on Artistico Fabriano extra white 100% cotton hot press watercolor paper. This is one of my larger drawings.
My mother, Mary, loved autumn and all of the beautiful fall colors. She would drive through the Columbia River Gorge along the Columbia River and up the McKenzie River in the Cascade Mountains just to look at all of the colorful trees and bushes. On one of our day trips I gathered a bunch of leaves and used them as the subject to create this drawing and gave the original framed and matted drawing to Mom. She had it hanging on her living room wall to enjoy throughout the year. Wouldn't it make a wonderful splash of color in your home?
