I love parrots with their beautiful feathers and soft curves. This is a study of a very colorful parrot sitting on a perch. That just wasn't enough. The drawing needed a splendid background. The thought came to me to draw two large contrasting flowers to bring out the parrots natural beauty. The bright sunny yellow flower represents day and the deep green and blue flower represents night. This brought the whole drawing together creating a lovely story in a parrots quiet natural habitat.
